I am running the Edinburgh Half Marathon in May 2026 hoping to raising money in loving memory of my beautiful auntie, Wendy, who sadly passed away at just 51 after her battle with cancer.

Wendy was more than just an auntie — she was a devoted mum, a loving sister, and an amazing friend to may. Her boys Jack (19) and Finley(14) now have to face life without their mum. The pain and devastation her loss has brought to our family is something we will carry forever.

In our darkest moments, Strathcarron Hospice gave Wendy the care, dignity and compassion she deserved, while also supporting all of us through the most unimaginable time — especially her boys. Their kindness helped make an unbearable situation just that little bit more bearable.

This fundraiser is my way of honouring Wendy’s memory and saying thank you, while helping Strathcarron continue to support other families facing the same heartbreak.
