I’m abseiling for Strathcarron on the 22nd March!! Donate Strathcarron has, and will always hold a special place in my family. It has been part of our conversations for years, as my Nana spent time in the hospice and spent her final moments there, surrounded by her family and being cared for by the nurses and doctors who’s faces will never be forgotten. Now, as a Nurse myself, I truly see the incredible work Strathcarron Hospice does and the care they provide is incomparable. I was lucky enough to spend time there and witness first hand the magic of the hospice. The atmosphere is friendly, comforting and a place you instantly feel relaxed. Every occasion is celebrated and the small moments truly matter: weddings, birthdays, having symptoms under control enough to enjoy a favourite meal. Being in the hospice was the closest I will ever feel to my late Nana, who passed away when I was only two, at the age of just fifty-six. The way strathcarron made my family feel will never be forgotten, and we talk about it to this day. By doing this abseil, I hope to help the hospice to continue to provide the standard of care they do, and to allow them to continue helping families like mine. Nicole Fairley Manage Cookie Preferences
