In Memory of Michelle Millar Donate In May 2025 Michelle and I received the devastating news that there was no further treatment that she could receive in her 2 year battle against neuroendocrine pancreatic cancer. Michelle loved life and wanted to spend her remaining time at home, where she could look out on our garden, and I just wanted to be close to her for every second. Strathcarron arranged for the Hospice At Home team to make sure Michelle could have her wish and they came every day to care for her with kindness, tenderness and dignity. Michelle would greet them with her amazing smile, regardless of how she was feeling, and it was a highlight of her day to see them. The hospice needs to raise Β£19,452 to provide this care for just one day, and we would not have had all our special moments without them, day after day, until Michelle returned to the universe on the 20 June. We may all need this care one day.Michelle's amazing sisters, Gayle and Jayne, are preparing to undertake the Dundee Kiltwalk in August this year with me and we are persuading other family & friends, to be mentioned once signed up, to join us on the 20 mile challenge. If you would like to join Shelley's Shufflers then just let me know.We will be organising further fundraising events and will update the page below when they are arranged. This year's events will culminate in my awesome friend Joe π« and I trekking from Siem Reap to Angkor Wat in Cambodia this November.I love Michelle with all my heart and many of you know that she is my hero. When Michelle and I met in 1990 I was suffering from the debilitating effects of Crohns Disease. With her love and support I was well, and free of medication, by the time we married in 1993. The symptoms have never returned.By 2012, the earlier treatment had finally devastated my kidney function. Michelle gave me the gift of life when she donated me one of her 'Olympic' kidneys. When I said I didn't want her to go through major surgery she said she wasn't doing it for me, she was doing it for us.Please be a hero and help support the hospice with any amount you can donate. Neither Joe nor I like warm weather but we promise to endure the heat and humidity on your behalf during our trek in Cambodia and I hope I can do Michelle's memory justice.LoveGraham πDundee Kiltwalk Latest Kiltwalkers:Fraser Millar πFiona Duff πJoe Abraham πLynda Rennie πAllan Waugh πTracey Roy πWee Wander Kiltwalkers:Angela Cowan πCatherine Williams π Steve Williams π Big Birthday Tea:Tipperary Place Stenhousemuir 26 April 1200 - 1600Commercial Supporters:Ciro's Glenbervie Larbert π Nicola's Barbers Falkirk π Kinnaird Butcher Shop and Deli πSonder Beauty πKev All Landscaping πFoil and Pin π1 Allan Park πWesterwood Leisure and Golf πEva at Callentics πAsdaπThe Relax Room πWester Carmuirs Farm πMorag Nicol @ Partylite πJakki Stewart PT πWhisky Tasting Larbert 16 May:Generously hosted by Steve Ramsay πMasterclass by Jamie Morrison πKelpies Half Marathon 26 SeptemberRunners:Colin Mountford πPaul Williams πChris Williams πAli Millar π Graham Millar Manage Cookie Preferences
