Something amazing I learned about strathcarron hospice is that a £10 donation can pay for a hand or food massage for one patient to help relieve pain and reduce anxiety, £50 raised could pay for one home visit from an occupational therapist to make suitable adjustments to allow a patient to be comfortable in their own home and £100 could pay for 2 bereavement sessions for one adult or child. This was truly eye opening to me and after learning this I felt compelled to take part in this firewalk. Louise Laing
