Antiques expert Anita Manning hosts Valuation Day for Strathcarron Hospice Members of the community are being invited to bring along their hidden treasures to be valued as part of Strathcarron Hospice’s Valuation Day fundraiser in June with Scottish antiques expert Anita Manning. The drop-in event at the Macdonald Inchyra Hotel and Spa takes place on Monday 15 June from 10am to 2pm, supported by local Rotary International groups. For £10 people can bring along three items such as jewellery, paintings and collectables to be valued by Anita and her expert team of valuers from The Great Western Auctions Ltd. Please do not bring items of furniture – photos of these would be welcomed instead. Auctioneer Anita is a well-known TV personality for her appearances presenting BBC’s Bargain Hunt, Flog It! and the Antiques Road Trip. Funds from the event will help Strathcarron Hospice specialist teams to support local people across the Forth Valley, Cumbernauld and Kilsyth areas with life limiting illnesses, from the moment an incurable illness is diagnosed. As a local charity, Strathcarron Hospice needs £19,452 a day to provide this expert care within the Hospice building and within the local community.
