Our Mission

Everything we do in our community, is for our community, and with our community, to enable people to live and die well.

Watch our 60-second film: Hospice care isn’t just a place.
It’s a team of people, working together in the Hospice and across homes, hospitals, schools and communities, bringing specialist care, comfort and connection when it’s needed most.
For 45 years, we’ve done this together. And together, we’ll continue to be there for every moment that matters.

What We Do

Together we support people and families across Forth Valley, Cumbernauld and Kilsyth living with serious illness to live well, die well and make every moment count.

Our specialist team includes nurses, doctors, physiotherapists, ocupational therapists therapists, pharmacists, chaplains, patient and family support and creative arts facilitators - working together to provide compassionate, person-centred care.

Guided by one question, “What’s important to you?”, our strategy sets a bold path to meet the complex needs of our communities, rooted in our shared values to support individuals at the right time and place for them, enabling them to live life to the full. We hope to reach a much higher proportion of people who potentially could benefit from palliative care earlier on their illness journey.

We are a charity

Strathcarron Hospice is a local charity and needs to raise over £19.452 every single day and this figure will continue to rise as our costs increase. All money we receive assist the hospice to provide vital services, which are FREE to those who use them across these local communities.

With only one third of Strathcarron Hospice funded by the Government, the charity is incredibly grateful to our generous supporters who make up the significant shortfall.

Our Strategy

Our new Strategy is not just a road map for the future of Strathcarron Hospice; it is a plan and commitment to continuous improvement of people, services and solutions. We will adapt with purpose to ensure that the excellence of our care continues to inspire, attract, support and meet the growing needs of our communities.
