In only 30 seconds you can help your local Hospice? It won't cost you a penny.

Hospices from across Scotland have come together as part of the Scottish Hospice Leadership Group to demand urgent action by The Scottish Government to ensure the future of vital hospice care. In a letter published in The Herald's front page, it highlightes the "insurmountable funding gap" across all local Hospices.
By clicking on the link:  Support Strathcarron Hospice., in only 30 seconds, you will be able to sign a letter to your local MSPs.
With the Scottish Government budget fast approaching, writing to your local MSPs will show them how much Hospice care matters you and will really help Hospice leaders challenge the Scottish Government.

❤️Hospices are a key part of the healthcare system, but we are not part of the NHS

❤️Hospices reduce pressure on the NHS and as independent charities, we provide care free of charge.

❤️Only a third of our costs are funded by the NHS.

To match NHS rates of pay to recruit and retain our staff, as well as National Insurance or cost of heating, transport or other utilities, will significantly push up our wage bill. This could be devastating for the Hospice and we are feeling enormous pressure.
We are asking for support this year to address backlog deficits and pay award pressure and for them to make provision in the Scottish Government budget for next and subsequent years. Pay parity and recognition for Hospice staff is a priority as is sustainable levels of funding.
Our staff at Strathcarron Hospice deserve to be valued and rewarded similarly to our NHS colleagues. Patients and local people across all our communities deserve to know that Hospice care is there for them when they need it.
Thank you for your ongoing support, we truly appreciate you all.
