People in Forth Valley, Cumbernauld and Kilsyth communities are being invited to join in Strathcarron Hospice’s 45th anniversary celebrations in 2026 by signing up for the Big Birthday Tea!

Hold your own fundraising bake sale, coffee morning, or any other get together, on or around Friday 24 April.

Your support and generosity will be helping contribute towards vital palliative and end of life care for those within our local communities who need it most.

Businesses are also being encouraged to invite customers to make a £1 donation at point of card payment. The Hospice fundraising team can help advise businesses on how to set up this simple way of giving.

Last year hundreds of businesses, groups and individuals took part in the Big Birthday Tea organising events and donating, raising an incredible £58,759.32 (including Gift Aid).

The event is kindly sponsored by 103.1 Central FM and Candied Ice Cream Parlour.

Marion Blaney, StrathcarronHospice Community Fundraiser said: “It's our special 45th anniversary - let’s make it bigger and better than ever!

“Raise a cuppa and make a difference as we celebrate over four decades of care.  Every event, big or small, will help us continue providing vital care and support to local people living with a life-limiting condition.

“As a charity, Strathcarron Hospice is funded by the people we serve. They walk, run, cycle, jump, bake and go to many other amazing efforts to fundraise for their local Hospice.

“The Hospice needs £19,452 daily to be able to provide services to patients and their loved ones. Every life matters, every gift counts.”
