Strathcarron communities celebrate our 2026 Big Birthday Tea Fundraisers across our communities in Forth Valley, Cumbernauld and Kilsyth have been hosting events to mark our 2026 Birthday Tea. The fundraiser was held to mark the 45th anniversary of the Hospice which opened in April 1981, with people across the area encouraged to host a get together and donate to their local Hospice. Businesses are also encouraged to invite customers to make a £1 donation at point of payment. Charity partner Central FM broadcasted live out and about in the community throughout the day, featuring interviews with staff and fundraisers hosting Big Birthday Tea events. The Big Birthday Tea is generously sponsored by Candied Ice Cream and our fundraising packs were also kindly supported by Henry’s Coffee Company. Lime Salon Sponsor Support: Central FM's Shaz and Brad popped into fellow sponsor Candied to try the Strathcarron Big Birthday Cake ice cream flavour. Brad and Shaz pop into Big Birthday Tea supporter Henry's Coffee Community Fundraiser Marion Blaney, said: “We would like to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone who took part, donated and supported our 45th anniversary Strathcarron Big Birthday Tea Party. Your generous support and efforts helped us to reach this amazing total - our highest ever! “It was wonderful to see the enthusiasm of our local community getting behind the Hospice, from businesses and schools, to community groups and individuals hosting a get together at home - we are very grateful for every donation. Every wee contribution makes a big difference to those we support. “Strathcarron needs £19,452 daily to be able to provide palliative care and end of life services to patients and their loved ones – every pound donated is vital.” There are still Big Birthday Tea events taking place across the area for the next few weeks.
