Strathcarron represented at 20th World Congress of the EAPC Strathcarron Hospice Head of Palliative Care Education, Research and Practice Development Dr Sally Boa and our Hospice Dietitian Honor attended the 20th World Congress of the EAPC: 'Palliative Care research - from strong foundations to new horizons', as part of a palliative care Task Force in Prague recently. The pair were representing Strathcarron, sharing knowledge and educating about rehabilitative approaches, goal setting and the importance of nutrition in a Hospice care setting. Sally said: "Attending EAPC in Prague was a wonderful opportunity to show case the work of Strathcarron Hospice and to learn about current issues in palliative care. "Although there are huge variations in palliative care provision across the world, we all share the same vision: to support individuals to live as well as they can until death. "This involves really listening to people and finding out what's important to them, which is something we see as crucial here at Strathcarron." As well as offering specialist palliative training, Strathcarron offers a range of tailor made courses for organisations For further information contact [email protected] or call 01324826222.
